My journey towards finishing the room

Muzz had Daniel again today and I finished the storage room off

Piled the car up with the junk. Boy I love my hatchback. They are pack horses unlike other types of other cars. Took it to the dump via getting lost hadnt been to the dump here in the Bay before. Seems I turned the wrong way at one of the roads and ended up in the middle of nowehere. This was followed by some anxious moments where I felt like totally giving up I had already worked for 2 hours and my back was sore. I texted Muzz and decided I couldnt exactly just give up could I??? I had to go on and finally I found out where I was suppose to be courtesy of a nice shop lady. I was very pleased with the dump guy as well as he gave me a discount of $2 I think he felt sorry for me LOL.

Got back and finished off the room. You can even see where the floor is now 🙂 I want to thank Muzz for having Daniel the last couple of Thursdays I know I wouldnt have been able to get it done had I had the little explorer to look after as well.

The other thing that made me happy-face.JPG today was that I have completed the November National Blog Posting Month – having posted a entry E V E R Y D A Y

 Did it.  I did.

It was an interesting experience.  I had never had writers block before and I dont know if you realised but I did have it a while ago.  I was also aware of purposely looking for things to write about more.  Id do this again sometime in the future.

Does Anyone Know How To . . .

I brought a beach pod recently and today it arrived. We eagerly opened the box and were impressed with it. I have wanted one for many many years and last year when I was preggie and watching a young family on the beach I vowed that this summer would be the summer.

However, as hard as we try we cant figure out where the 3 poles go. One is particularly long and they have been cleverly constructed with elastic allowing them to fold up into manageable pieces. I emailed the man who sold it to me. He has lots of them for sale. One would have thought that he would have a leaflet explaining how it goes together – he doesnt. If anyone can help Id appreciate it heaps.

updated.jpg I went on-line last night and posted the same question in a message board site I am in

and a nice man told me in 3 lines how to do it

I then wrote an email to the guy I brought it from and told him that he should know how to put them up – he does sell lots of them and he should be able to give other instructions on how to put them up

surely I’m not the only simpleton that doesn’t know

and Greenmonster you’re not a simpleton either.

and so today we had success-banner1.jpg

therefore I present to you these photos I’m so happy and pleased now

A Cold or the Flu

Filed under: Home and Family,NOVEMBER National Blog Posting Month! — jenz @ 10:42 am

Yesterday I sneezed and sneezed and sneezed some more. In fact it was so bad that driving home from dropping Billy off at school yesterday morning I considered the fact that I may have to pull over or end up in the ditch. I had sneezed repeatedly and do you know how hard it is to drive when you sneeze???

I had put it down to the fact that maybe I had stirred up the dust when attacking our spare room the other day. Dust sometimes does make people sneeze. However after the above happened I thought it had to be more than that.

This morning I woke up feeling like someone had beaten me up in the middle of the night. I was sore EVERYWHERE!!! All my bones ached. My back, my arms and even my legs.  I had some medicine but it didnt help much. Im going to take it very easy today. Thankfully Muzz is looking after the boys once again. Well Im back to bed now have a good day everyone.

Yesterday morning Billy came into my bedroom and woke me up by asking me to dial into the phone, the number to retrieve the messages. We have an answer phone system provided by the phone company. One has to dial the special number and then we get to listen to the messages that the phone company has on their answering machine. I thought it was a bit strange as he is not usually that keen on the phone. Besides which I didn’t think we had any messages. One can tell as a light on our phone flashes when there is a message waiting to be heard. I dialed the number anyway and he went off happily to listen to the message. I was still half asleep so I decided Id listen later.

After a while he came back and asked me to listen so I did. The rascal had recorded a message. My suspicions were confirmed. He had been up to something. A funny something. The recording was of the toilet flushing and then him pretending to blow off. The reason he’d wanted to have the phone was so he could listen to what he’d prerecorded. He has just learnt his phone number at school. What with his dyspraxia and dyslexia this has taken some time to learn. We have tried at home without success. So I was kind of OK with him using the phone in this way. He was after all practising what he’d learnt.

Later after dropping him at school I found the television on. He’d been asked to turn it off as we had left the house. The reason he hadn’t is that he’d recorded the children’s programmes that are on the TV after he goes to school. He had piled up some wooden blocks by the TV and sat the phone upright on top of them. The phone had recorded 75 minutes worth of TV as I hadn’t come home. As you may recall I dropped Daniel off with Muzz for the day (see the previous post).

I remember as a child playing with our phone with my sister. My mother had a part-time job after school. We were of an age where we were able to be at home without her for some time. My sister and I would make pranks calls. We knew it was wrong but it was fun and we would egg each other on.

With this in mind I did wonder whether Billy playing with the phone was really a good idea. So yesterday as I was cleaning up the spare room I found an old tape recorder tape and gave it to him after school yesterday. He played around with it yesterday afternoon. This morning when I got up and went into the lounge he asked me to be quiet. He was recording the TV again only this time with the tape and the tape deck. A much better plan I thought than the phone.

Oh!!! to have a brother

Daniel misses Billy when Billy is at school. At school at pick up time Daniel looks out the car window on the look out for his big brother. He smiles when he sees him. When Billy gets home and is having his afternoon snack not only does Daniel want his biscuit he also is very interested in whatever Billy is having. While this frustrates Billy they soon get over it as the photos clearly show. Now that Daniel is climbing and getting around more its getting easier to get to his big brother for that much loved hug.

I want to dedicate today’s post to a blogger and her family

Filed under: NOVEMBER National Blog Posting Month! — jenz @ 12:27 pm

Yesterday afternoon I found this blog and read it from November 1st till the present date

Today Im tired and boy did I cry last night and cry and cry some more

Its so sad that this lady bj.jpgin the prime of her life (just 29) should get sick (supposedly the flu) and die so quickly

My thoughts, prayers and love go out to her hubby and their children and extended family

I wont forget about this. Its not only a true story but one based on the deep love of man forhis wife and more than anything else it taught me never ever to take those you love around for granted. Life can be far far too short.

I also think this man is as good a writer as Dale is from this website and he also was the founder of this website its just a dam shame that it took this for him to be noticed

I thanked AT this afternoon for sharing his sad story with us – may he find peace
