Luke 2:8-11

That night in the fields near Bethlehem some shepherds were guarding their sheep. All at once an angel came down to them from the Lord, and the brightness of the Lord’s glory flashed around them. The shepherds were frightened. But the angle said “Don’t be afraid! I have good news for you, which will make everyone happy. This is the very day in King David’s hometown a Saviour was born for you. He is Christ the Lord. You will know who he is, because you will find him dressed in baby clothes and lying on a bed of hay. “

Last night we went to a 1 hour concert at Billy’s school. It showcased the music and drama that the children have been learning over the last two years under the guidance of a special Arts teacher. She came in once a week, the usual school teachers also taught the children music and drama. This special teacher is leaving to live in Australia. Below are photos of Billy

In the last few songs of the evening when the school choir was singing some fun, modern songs Daniel who was sitting on my lap decided to join in. He was very funny. Jiggling around and waving his arms and hands around.

Last night unfortunately didn’t end on such a good note. Billy discovered his bird was dead. He was very upset. I was talking to my dear sister on the phone when Billy came out and told us. I was in awe as I watched Muzz deal with it. He was compassionate, full of sympathy, loving, patient, caring and supportive. At times hugging Billy, at others standing back and watching as Billy organised a burial box for Blue Zebra. This is so different to when we lost our cat back in Auckland. My then boyfriend didn’t give a dam. Gosh Im blessed to have Muzzy.

T his morning Billy and I went to a new massive hardware shop and brought some wood. I made another barrier to keep Daniel out of the kitchen. He tends to get into everything and I have always felt it is safer for babies and toddlers not to be in the kitchen especially when I am cooking.

  1. Oh no. Poor Billy. Glad it was handled so well though
