Christmas Time Countdown – 7 days til Christmas

Filed under: Christmas time countdown,Home and Family — jenz @ 4:18 pm

As I said in one of my comments over the weekend. This weekend was action packed. Saturday afternoon I took Billy to church for the dress rehearsal of the Christmas play the children at church are putting on. In the late afternoon and evening I went to dsc03644.jpgand gave out candles. Id never done this before but enjoyed it and would do it again. At the end of the evening they had a big fireworks display.

Sunday morning at church we watched the Christmas Play the children put on.

The play was about a man who couldnt find Jesus at Christmas time. Until it was pointed out to him that he in fact he had served Jesus when he gave things he owned to others. He gave food and drink to a few groups of people including Billy’s group. Billy is in the yellow reflective jacket

In the late afternoon and early evening we went to the end of year youth group pool party. This was held at a parishioners house. The kids swam. Then we had a lovely supper and exchanged gifts. To finish the evening we were invited to go berry picking in the parishioners berry farm. We enjoyed raspberries and cream for desert – yummmmmmy.

Matthew 2:4 – 6

Herod brought together the chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses and asked the, “Where will the Messiah be born?” They told him, “He will born in Bethlehem, just as the prophet wrote, Bethlehem in the land of Judea, you are very important among the towns of Judea. From your town will come a leader, who will be like a shepherd for my people Israel.”
